A LETTER FROM THE AIR CANADA MEC:
Air Canada pilots are invested in our customers, our company, and our country.
In May 2023, we—the pilots at Canada’s largest airline—voted to fold our union into the Air Line Pilots Association (ALPA), growing ALPA’s membership to more than 74,000 pilots in Canada and the United States. Soon after the merger, we began negotiating for a new Collective Agreement, and signed a new deal on October 10, 2024.
We are fully invested in our company, our customers, and our country. We’re proud of our profession and take our job of transporting passengers safely to their destinations very seriously.
We have reached a new Collective Agreement with Air Canada, one that represents the largest labour agreement in Air Canada’s history and shows they value what this pilot group contributes to the corporation. This agreement brings back value Air Canada pilots lost over the past two decades and creates a strong foundation from which to build on. We look forward to working under these improved pay rates and working conditions, while continuing to connect our passengers to Canada, North American and the world.
We value the respect accorded to our profession by the travelling public. Air Canada pilots strive each day to uphold high standards as we deliver our passengers, fellow crewmembers, and aircraft safely to their destinations.
